Our Research Topics
The overarching research question for the Intr’Appreneur project is What impact, in terms of measurable effect, do Intr’Appreneur project has on addressing the mismatch between formal education and the challenges of the innovative society?

Research Topics
For the purposes of this longitudinal project, the concept of students’ learning, teaching and leading experiences in malleable spaces aligned with future skills needed has been defined by six research topic areas. In collaboration with many research institutions and members of the regional, national, and international research network, the Intr’Appreneur project will inform on the ongoing findings in regard to the following topics:
Leadership
This topic focuses on understanding leadership behaviours and leaders’ roles in supporting students, school staff and identifying the characteristics that could potentially increase impact on teaching, learning, and leading a culture of innovation. The Intr’Appreneur research team will develop/utilize measurement tools to gather data on leadership in ways which constitute the foundations of the 21st century school.
Inclusion
This topic focuses on the community inclusiveness experiences (equity, diversity and inclusion), of the students, school staff, parents, and community members within their communities with a sense of respectful belonging within its inter-cultural diversity. The Intr’Appreneur research team will develop/utilize measurement tools to gather data stimulating and addressing their need for inclusive human interaction.
Innovative Environment
This topic focuses on the relationship between of physical, virtual and hybrid spaces and affective/effective learning, teaching and leading experiences. The Intr’Appreneur research team will develop/utilize measurement tools to gather data on students’ experiences aligned with learning outcomes & competencies development, active teaching pedagogy and leadership behaviours aligned with current innovations in industry and smart society.
Learning Outcomes
This topic focuses on the process of learning and teaching outcomes acquisitions and the development of competencies in a malleable learning space. The Intr’Appreneur research team will develop/utilize measurement tools to gather data on how students and teachers maximize their learning and teaching outcomes/achievements.
Engagement
This topic focuses on students’, teachers’, leaders’ and community members’ engagement. The Intr’Appreneur project will develop/utilize measurement tools to gather data on the relationship and collaborative activities of students, teachers, leaders and community members as well as their motivation while benefiting from the expertise and the experience of other community actors (field services, companies, etc.).
Well-Being
This topic focuses on the relationship between learning environments and wellbeing. The Intr’Appreneur research team will bedeveloped/utilize measurement tools to gather robust data on students’, teachers’ and leaders’ wellbeing across the psychological domain (e.g., self-direction, confidence, peer and community support for learning), cognitive domains (e.g., computational thinking, creativity, autoregulation), and social-emotional domain (e.g., developing relationships, emotional regulation, personal, autonomy, motivation and interpersonal).
